Deeside Timberframe selected as main timber frame manufacturer and supplier

Deeside Timberframe Ltd were selected as the main timber frame manufacturer and supplier for 23 of the 52 houses across seven different plots at Scotland’s first Housing Expo. Selected by architects and two of the principle contractor's working on The Expo, primarily for their innovative construction and cutting edge sustainable systems, Deeside were able to provide flexibility of design, manufacturing and versatility allowing the architects to create contemporary designs for the different plots at Inverness.

The advantage of timber frame design and build also enabled the contractors to meet tight deadlines before the launch of the Expo on 1st August 2010.

The Expo was the first of its kind in Scotland and indeed the UK. This unique and aspirational event is now sure to be a catalyst to prompt stimulating quality design and innovation using timberframe throughout Scotland.

Deeside Timberframe's legacy in this unique eco village is to have provided a quality framework for Scotland’s top architects, leaving a living, breathing village of inspired homes over five hectares at Balvonie Braes, Inverness.
