Deeside Timberframe - Case Study - Ashton Bank, Preston - Private Developers

Deeside Timberframe’s project with Hollingwood Homes LTD, in partnership with private developer Marcus Worthington & Co, exemplifies cutting edge, sustainable living through a mixed development of detached, semi-detached, terraced homes and flats. This partnership highlights our expertise in deploying timber frame solutions that cater to the intricate demands of private housing markets.

Collaboration between Private Developers & Deeside Timberframe

Hollingwood Homes had specific objectives for the project that included; an expedited build programme without compromising on safety or quality, steps to ensure disruption to existing local residents was minimised, and the careful management of project costs to ensure a specific sale value would be achieved.

In order to meet with these objectives it was essential  that Deeside Timberframe and Hollingwood Homes worked in close collaboration, starting with an in-depth briefing and planning process. We gained a detailed understanding of the scope of work, risks and challenges and presented commercially viable solutions and a forward thinking approach to achieve them.

360° Service

As a full design, supply and erect project, Deeside Timberframe could attribute all of their core skills across every stage of this development. The tight build schedule meant a focus on value engineered options. The outcome was full-service, integrated delivery from the ground up, including: offsite manufacturing of the structural frame, sourcing, supply and installation of insulation and vapour control layers and service zones, as well as the supply and installation of UPVC soffits and facias.

Our dedicated project team created a detailed schedule of works, flow of site traffic and construction planning to ensure disturbance to the local residents was minimised. This process highlighted possible issues regarding access routes into the development land and a feasible plan of action was put in place including contingency plans.

Successful Outcome

The collaborative approach, from initial proposals through to engagement and after care for the residential development of Ashton Bank proved highly successful. The project was delivered to the planned timeline, budget, achieved all specific technical requirements and was marketed effectively within achievable price and valuation points.
