Deeside Timberframe is progressing the supply and installation of timber frame systems for 52 new homes at the Vaux Housing Phase II development in Sunderland, supporting the regeneration of one of the North East’s most prominent brownfield sites.
Appointed by principal contractor Falcon Fox Developments following a competitive tender, Deeside Timberframe is delivering the timber frame package for the latest phase of the scheme, which will provide 93 homes overall, including two apartment blocks.
Located on the site of the former Vaux brewery, the development forms part of Sunderland’s wider city-centre regeneration. The new neighbourhood will offer views across the River Wear, with access to Riverside Park and shared outdoor spaces.
The 52 homes are designed to achieve an EPC A rating, reflecting the development’s emphasis on energy efficiency and long-term environmental performance. Timber frame construction supports these objectives through its thermal performance, lower embodied energy and ability to store carbon within the building structure.
For Deeside Timberframe, the project represents a continuation of its relationship with Falcon Fox Developments and further strengthens its presence in the North East of England.
