We’re thrilled to announce that Cloverhill, a mixed-use timber frame development built in partnership with Bancon Construction, has been shortlisted for Social Housing Project of the Year at the 2025 Structural Timber Awards.
This national recognition celebrates projects that have used timber technology to deliver affordable, sustainable, and high-quality housing solutions, particularly those that meet the evolving needs of residents and local communities. The category highlights projects that demonstrate:
- Collaborative working
- Speed and quality of construction
- Energy efficiency and low running costs
- Affordability of maintenance
- Long-term value for both residents and housing providers
Cloverhill meets these standards in full. Designed for Aberdeen City Council, the project is delivering over 500 homes, including housing tailored for wheelchair users and dementia-friendly living, using a timber frame system manufactured and installed by Deeside Timberframe. Our offsite approach has enabled rapid delivery, with over 270 homes completed in just two years—supporting urgent housing need while maintaining exceptional standards in thermal performance, safety, and build quality.
With our recent Throsk manufacturing site expansion, we’re also scaling up to meet the demand for more sustainable, cost-effective housing solutions across the UK.
The winners will be announced on 1 October 2025 at the Structural Timber Awards.
